Global Learning Academy

Global Learning Academy is a free, public Pre-K through fifth grade school with a focus on science, technology, and environmental awareness. Pensacola's downtown school serves individual learners with a mission to help all students become successful and responsible citizens in the world's diverse societies.

When three downtown schools closed to form a new downtown school, the idea of communities coming together lent itself to Global Learning Academy. Each grade level is continent themed; students who begin at GLA in Pre-K and finish in 5th grade travel the world. Integrating continent themes into lessons, including fine arts, and broadening student horizons makes learning exciting and relevant.
