In March we will send over 5000 letters of support and encouragement to some of the lowest-performing Elementary Schools in Escambia and Santa Rosa. We are seeking volunteers to help us read and sort by grade reading level these letters.
What is Absolutely Incredible Kid Day:
Founded by Camp Fire in 1997, Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® (AIKD) is a national holiday that lifts up the young people in our lives. Join millions of people every year - on the third Thursday of March (3/17/22). Send notes, emails, letters, texts, and videos (you choose!) to encourage and inspire young people in your life and across the community. (#AIKD) The medium doesn’t matter, but the message does: “You are incredible, and here’s why...”
- Do you know a young person who exemplifies what it means to be an Absolutely Incredible Kid? Let’s face it, 2020 was a tough year for everyone, but kids had it bad. Isolation from their friends and school, uncertain health concerns, and national chaos. This year, on March 17, 2022, Camp Fire Gulf Wind, Inc., will celebrate and recognize up to 5 absolutely incredible kids from right here in Northwest Florida and commend the adults who are championing their sparks. Camp Fire Gulf Wind, Inc. in northwest Florida will deliver 5000+ letters of support and encouragement to public elementary school students in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Bay Counties. Your help is critical to us reaching that goal. Free official AIKD stationary is available for download at campfirekidsfl.org or at the Camp Fire Gulf Winds office on Creighton Rd. Please return completed letters to the Camp Fire Gulf Wind, Inc. office at 1814 Creighton Rd. Pensacola, FL 32504 before March 11 2022 for distribution the next week.
