Embrace Florida Kids, a ministry of the United Methodist Children's Home

Our passion for serving children is motivated by compassion and we are compelled to serve because we know children are relying on someone to care for them when those closest to them aren’t able to adequately provide that care. There are more children in foster care than there are available licensed foster homes to care for these children in Northwest Florida. Kids who are all too familiar with neglect, abuse and abandonment. We’re on a mission to embrace and nurture these vulnerable children by embracing them, meeting them where they are and loving them unconditionally. We’re not only providing them with homes, we’re giving them a system of support and care to help them flourish. While faith serves as the core of our mission, we are driven by a desire to nurture, support and prepare kids for productive, thriving futures. We believe we can break what often becomes a cycle of neglect and circumstance for many of the children in our care. Our caring and compassionate team works to change the trajectory of the lives of children in foster care by recruiting, training, licensing and supporting foster parents in Northwest Florida in addition to continually providing support and resources that position foster families for success.

We're fiercely passionate about serving and advocating for vulnerable children and families in crisis. We don’t just care for children, we care about them, embracing them into environments in which they can live, learn and thrive. Abused, neglected, and traumatized children, young mothers, and struggling families find comfort and safety through our group homes, foster care programs, and family preservation services.
