Who We Are
Embrace Florida Kids (EFK), a ministry of the United Methodist Children’s Home, has been working in Northwest Florida since 1974 on behalf of vulnerable children. What started as an orphanage in 1890 in Summerfield, Alabama has grown to serve thousands of children and families across two states. We are a network of group homes, foster homes and family service providers. We are accredited through the Council on Accreditation which ensures that we meet or exceed best practice standards.
What We Do
Embrace Florida Kids provides services to children and families in need from throughout four counties in Northwest Florida (Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton) through a Girls Home in Milton, Foster Care services, Family Preservation services, and a Higher Education home in Pensacola. Vulnerable children and families from the four counties receive care through those three programs.
